Pros
It is best suited for people who hail from in and around jamshedpur. It is a great company to work for management graduates and metallurgical engineers.
Cons
1. Tata Steel is almost 95% government type (sarkari) organization lacking a dynamic work environment. 2. The employee morale (officers) is probably the lowest in the industry. 3. It is the best place in the country (or perhaps even worldwide) for non-officer category workers. 5. Not a place for the young, energetic, dynamic and the talented. 6. Jamshedpur is an oasis which is literally cut off from rest of the world 7. No work done here is original. Almost all activities are carried out in "Jugaad" mode.
