Pros

Target is a stable and growing company. They focus on leadership development for all levels of employees. One of the best things about Target is that you will always know where you stand with your performance. As a company they focus on a feedback culture and expect you to be able to receive and give performance feedback. They allow you to take the time to develop professionally. They have also made huge progress in making sure the benefits are right for the employees. They offer a wide array of benefits including discounts to other retailers.

Cons

The opportunities for advancement are available, however it is very biased. It is often based on having a cute and bubbly personality and not on experience or capabilities. As with any retailer, the schedule of a 50 hour work week and working holidays does not provide for the best work/life balance.

Pros

If you don't want to work hard and just want to collect an easy pay check this is your job.

Cons

If you are a person that is driven and wants to advance in a company, Target is not for you. More often than not, advancement is only offered to those that are favorites and yearly reviews of you that say you are great at your job will only get you maybe a 50 cent raise.

Pros

lots of free time for the resourses who wants to work. -community services keep you engage in social work. -In span of 3-4 yrs you won tbe getting enough exposure to variuos technical challenges.as there are inhouse projects..and do-it-later attitude. -so lastly you have lot of time for family and no work.

Cons

- Very Limited Room for Career Growth -Many unnecessary layers of management - Work/Life Balance is Questionable - Many unnecessary layers of management - No promotions from within (at least in the department I'm in) -Insufficient training -Listen to your employees and give them the pay they deserve, or else you will be losing all the talents to this rebounding market -More transparent & fair review process -limited mentoring opportunities
