      Pros

      The product is phenomenal. Fiscally responsible. Greater transparency w/in Tableau than any company I've worked for. Smart people. Culture of integrity. Management team (both exec and mid level) that you want to win for.

      Cons

      Running a fiscally conservative startup means trade offs - wha wha. Small, rapidly growing company means change is frequent, though decision making is strong. Not a place to work if you just want to show up.

      Pros

      Great software and a great mission. Customers love the software and the company is very well run. Executives in every department are intelligent and capable.

      Cons

      Resources are constrained since it is a conservatively run startup. I think management generally makes good choices about how to allocate the scarce resources, but it's still the toughest part.

      Pros

      Tableau is located in Seattle and focuses on taking care of it employees. They have an amazing product that is a great seller and has great potential. Tableau is going to be a start-up that sees IPO and beyond!

      Cons

      Tableau is a small fast moving company. You have to be ready to work directly with all departments and change happens quickly. This ability to adapt to changes has helped Tableau become what it is today. But the fast moving parts means that some completeness is missed or forgotten about.
