      Great place to work!

      Pros

      Great people, great product, great customers. Engineers are all very smart. Marketing, sales, engineering all work together. Management is smart and cares about the company and the people. It is a pleasure to work on something that people love to use.

      Cons

      It is a second stage startup. This isn't the place to go if you want to start in a garage. But there is plenty of growth potential also.

      Pros

      Working on software that people actually want to use is always a plus. Despite fast growth, the people all seem to be on the same team, and are all quite capable.

      Cons

      Old code base with a fair number of Windows-specific assumptions, with no good way to learn. Remote meetings never really work well, lots of time wasted setting these up.

      Pros

      Tableau manages to combine the best aspects of working for a start-up- rapid growth, constant challenges- with the benefits of a more established company- fiscal stability, sensible leadership, seeing employees as significant parts of how we achieve as a whole rather than as chattel.

      Cons

      Depending on your resistance of temptations, you may find yourself putting on weight here- it's a several-times-a-week occurrence that food is brought in for something or other.
