      Great Product and buzz around company

      Sales organization is very junior and led very tactically without a strategic vision or purpose. The leaders of the sales organization are in-experienced and need additional coaching by the CEO.

      Pros

      The products are excellent and the roadmap for future improvements is genuinely exciting. The engineering staff is top notch - you get to work with really bright people without egos getting in the way. The (rapidly growing) customer base is almost fanatical in their love of the product. Work/life balance is achievable here compared to most places. What you do here actually matters - people are going to use and depend on what you build.

      Cons

      Late stage startup so if you are looking for a garage startup where there is no technical baggage or a huge company where you can just hide and slack, this isn't it.

      Pros

      Corporate cultures are built from the top. Thats definitely the case at tableau and the result is awesome. Chabot inspires people and makes you believe in the mission. No matter what your job, you're gonna be solving some challenging problems. Work-life balance: good and generally respected. The co-workers are friendly and like coming to work as much as you do. Customer satisfaction is thru the roof which is motivational. Communication from the top is pretty free. The engineering team explains stuff to you without making you feel like an idiot.

      Cons

      Still a startup in a tough economy. Success is not guaranteed here. Rapid growth could lead to challenges down the road with culture, process etc. No huge downside tho.
