Pros

Work from Home is a decent aspect.

Cons

MANY, MANY, MANY.........For starters, they seem to pick and choose what calls they are going to "review" you on. Usually the bad ones, which, in the real world, would be a good thing. However, in THIS case you simply get chastised about it. No real help on improvement. If you are having some sort of issues with THEIR programs you are required to call their ""technical support"". First off, good LUCK with getting someone that speaks reasonable English. Secondly, they want you to CLOCK OUT while doing this. Which CAN AND DOES often take two to three hours as the ""technical support"" works their way through THEIR programs to resolve the issue. If THEY deem it to be an issue on THEIR end then, and ONLY then, will you get paid for the time. And they ALWAYS, ALWAYS try to tell you it's YOUR system causing the mess up. ((I have an attorney looking in to the legalities of this practice)) I was written up for having a bad phone call. Well, throughout the training I had a hard time even understanding the SECOND trainer that we had. English, from what I could figure out, was her SECOND language. So it was hard for me to figure out just what the heck was going on. ""Classes"" are over a VOIP connection and are online ALL the time. That, in and of itself, is just fine. Eventually, I was cut back to almost no hours due to the slow time of the year for this Big Nationwide Electronics Company. All of a sudden you'll get an email stating that the hours you had already planned to be working have been changed to an "MTO" ((Mandatory Time Off)) or a "VTO" ((Voluntary Time Off)) status. YOU are not even ASKED if you want this "VTO" or "MTO" time. It's just assigned. I received MULTIPLE phone calls and emails on my days off at the end of this debacle wanting me to call for a "meeting". I already had a feeling what it was about so I MADE THEM WAIT until I was SCHEDULED to be logged in. Well, I was let go for being TWO MINUTES late coming back from a ten minute break. The excuse was that I had that prior write-up on top of it. But, REALLY, two friggin' minutes? Pay would be good IF they actually gave you the hours that are repeatedly promised during training. Benefits MIGHT be good if they provided you with anything to actually read through AT HOME. You are NOT allowed to download, save, or otherwise keep ANY of the information provided. Of course they say that you can log in and look at it. But not one THEIR time. That's for sure. Be forewarned before taking the position with the Big Electronics Company. If you're NOT LIKED by the "Team Leaders" they can, AND WILL, find a reason to let you go. I don't think that anyone that I trained with is still there. There were 28 people that started the training. By the end of that we were down to, I believe, 8 or 9.

Pros

Flexible schedules, nice people,

Cons

If you get fired the company will say you resigned just so you can't get unemployment benefits. Hard to get verification of anything once your gone.

Pros

Management is very nice and do all they can to make the job as enjoyable as possible.

Cons

This is honestly a horrible job. If there's anywhere else you can find a job, even if it pays a 1.50 or more less, take it. This should only be a last resort. Anyways, this job is very difficult and my site location pays 12.00 an hour. For 12.00 an hour you get two computers and a dozen or so programs that you are responsible for using while you help irate customers scream and yell over the phone bc (the big bank your contracted to work for) charged them a 35.00 OD fee. Oh, and if that isn't bad enough, (this big bank that your contracting for pays their in house employees that do the same thing 25.00 an hour). And to make it worse? (Teletech is paid 25.00 an hour for your services and they keep your other half). Believe me, if currently working on finding another job. Out of the 20 people I was hired with, only 2 of us are left.
