Pros

* pays more then minimum wage *always hiring *nice office views *good people *Training class every other week This job is great if you are unemployed, fresh out of college, looking to get out of retail/food or need experience.

Cons

*Hours (its shift work, 1 minute late your written up) *Parking - You have to work nearly a mile to work every day , There is no shuttle for summer time. Takes about 30 minutes to walk here and back. So build in a extra hour of your commute a day. Also the office and Tempe police are well aware of homeless men attacking women on the walk in the morning. Carry pepper spray or walk in pairs. Some women have been raped. * Pay -veryone I have spoken told they could make 80k a year and work a flexible schedule. The must anyone makes in the Tempe office is 60k unless they are extreme upper management (think director and up). They lie about the base salary , its $40k at the offer letter but the first check you get your quickly see its $37k. *HR - Well lack of, There is no HR department, I spoke to people who have been here 5+ years and have never spoken to or seen HR. *Bathrooms - Always dirty , Always smell and good luck using the bathrooms after 11am. Usually blood ,poop and other bodily items on walls and seats *Personal or Sick time - If you need to a day off, Better plan on coming in for three hours sooo Google will pay them ,Otherwise on top of making up hours (some days working 16 hour days) they will write you up. There is no sick days , vacation or leaving early for a doctors appointment here. *Bonus- 90% of the commissions in this building are paid out on a bucket system. Top performer gets $1000 , second gets $700 and third gets $500 . IT DOESN'T"T MATTER WHAT YOU SALE ,If your not in the top three you will get paid $0. If you ask about this your be tagged as negative and written up. *Cell Phones - No cell phones on the floor or use at all (or they write you up/fire you) They are getting lockers soon to lock them up the whole day along with smart watches *Google pays them 90k a rep, So retention and making sure your happy is not high on the priority list. They make more if you quit and they hire someone else *Toxic - The culture is very toxic , majority of the people that work here the lasts few days before pay day only eat what the free snacks are in the kitchen, Some people live in their cars. Its depressing and you can see if on their faces. Its suggested by management that majority of people work a second job to afford food and medical *Benefits - The health insurance for one person is $130 a paycheck *Mandatory 401k - You don't have a choice they take 10% of your base. If you want to opt out you need to find HR. But there is no HR so your just stuck *Glass Ceiling - They will promise you the moon and stars in your interview. That the glass door reviews are fake, that in 3-4 months your be a manager or trainer, That the pay cut won't be a big deal and you could use this experience else where. ALL A LIE , Don't believe it

Working for TTEC

Pros

They do not treat you like a number, and your thoughts are heard. The overall experience was decent.

Cons

They do not respect loyalty or longevity. worked there for over 8yrs and one day I was called into a meeting and was termed for something I didn't do, I had been performing my job the same way for over 8yrs, never been written up, never been given any kind of reprimand and there I was out on my butt without so much as a chance to defend myself. Longevity and Loyalty mean nothing to TTEC.

Pros

Work from home Benefits offered (but only AFTER you’re officially hired on, most jobs within TTEC are just contract instead of permanent) Discount perks PTO (IF you’re a permanent employee)

Cons

Only way to be promoted is if you kiss up to the big bosses. Hard work and recommendations don’t matter unless you insert yourself with leadership and do everything you can to get promoted. Also promotions are few and far between. No raises unless you’re promoted or if there’s a lot of pressure to increase wages. Mistakes are constantly made when it comes to pay and taxes. You barely accrue PTO with each paycheck. It takes months to have enough time to take a week off. It’s like pulling teeth to get rid of people. They’ll let atrocious workers/supervisors stay on for as long as possible. Not very LGBTQ+ friendly. HR is useless and will not believe you unless you have endless amounts of evidence, and even if you have evidence, they’ll reprimand you despite being the victim and won’t actually help. Bad managers stay in their positions for way too long and make everything 10x worse. Not flexible with scheduling. You are constantly getting verbally abused by customers over the phone and nobody does anything to improve it. You’re not allowed to disconnect at all. Trainers are worked to the bone and sometimes aren’t allowed to have time off.
