Pros

Revitalized expansion makes room for growth. Excellent opportunities for training. Customer Service is stressed over more traditional banking and finance skills.

Cons

Salary growth will not keep step with experience and internal promotion (a standard in retail banking). The new bank (TD) often hires externals at significantly higher rates... My supervisor earned 40% less then many of his subordinates (myself included). My branch had VERY high turnover rates. Customer Service is stressed over more traditional banking and finance skills.

Pros

Corporate office has a lot of opportunities to develop and be promoted if you go after it. Great culture in comparison to other banks. Management cares about employee satisfaction as their comp is tied to it. Promote good work/life balance.

Cons

Corporate office is expanding rapidly. It'll be interesting to see how they handle the growth.

Pros

Great opportunity to learn about businessess in different sectors.

Cons

IN the end it comes down to the people. Many are great but it takes only one or two, especially if they are in management positions, to stifle your situation. This has more to do with individuals rather than the institution, itself.
