Pros

They are pretty flexible if you are a part-time sales rep, but beyond that be prepared to dedicate your life to them. They do allow you to develop your management skills , with a lot of off site and online courses.

Cons

Full-Timers, Key Holders and Managers are expected to be "Team Players" and basically live at work - they always talk about having a work/life balance but they don't live up to their own hype. Favoritism rules here as well - its more who you know and kiss up to rather than actual ability and competence that matter here. Upper management changes directions WAYYYYY to often - its seems like there is a new "focus" every week! and the stuff that was last week's "focus" gets dropped in favor of the new "focus" of the week.

Relatively stable employment, they offer plenty of opportunity to furhter your skill set.

Cons

It can be boring and frustrating with all the management layers adding unnecessary bureaucracy.

Pros

T-Mobile is a Wonderful Company to work for because their health benefits are great! Nearly all Health care is paid for by the company. For Health coverage including additional life insurance for myself it only runs at about $60 a month out of my check, wih a well known health care provider. Additional Benefits include tuition reimursement up to about 5K for classes that relate to a relevant career path with T-mobile. Also Child subsidy programs for child care as well as discounts of up to 10% with certain providers. Health Care Flexible spending accounts and Child care FSA's that are both tax exempt.

Cons

Downsides with working at T-mobile is a false sense of superiority. T-mobile is the 4th largest cell phone provider, but would like to think it is the best and largest. It's network, while sufficient , is sub-par. It also has a real problem with rolling out new proucts. The training on these products is often lackluster and mediocre, at best, resulting in frustration on the customers end as well as the employee. The Scheduling is also very rigid. You can not request time off unless you have already accrued the PTO and the back up which is called "flex scheduling" is seldom availible. Performance is often based on an outdated quality assesment, performed over the course of the month, and chances for upward growth is exagerated and limited except for a select few.
