Managers are horrible

Pros

The pay is good $18.50 right off the bat. They give you free uniforms.

Cons

Management treats their hardworking employees like crap, while the lazy workers get no penalties. They say if you miss a certain amount of days you get write ups and then terminated, but some people have disappeared for weeks just to return whenever and work as usual. People miss multiple days of work throughout the week, and are still employed. They make you use a pass to go to the restroom like it’s middle school, and we only get a 30 minute lunch break. Managers also don’t help with packages, even when a truck or plane is about to be late, yet they complain about late departure times. Lastly, even when we get things done on time, the managers still lecture and are unappreciative.

Disloyal Leadership and Toxic Culture

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

The employees very work hard, and deserve better leadership.

Cons

I worked at Swissport USA and can say that the company suffers from a deeply toxic environment driven by its executive leadership team. The top management seems more focused on their own agendas than on the well-being of their employees. This disconnect between leadership and staff has created a chaotic, unstable operation environment where stress, frustration, and uncertainty thrive. The lack of support from the executive team trickles down into daily operations, leading to widespread dissatisfaction among employees. As a result, many hardworking individuals are either forced to resign, are wrongfully terminated, or are caught in mass layoffs with little explanation. High turnover is the norm, and it’s no surprise, given the poor morale, lack of communication, and lack of respect for the workforce. Swissport USA doesn’t seem to value its employees or invest in creating a positive work culture. Instead, it perpetuates an environment where workers are treated as disposable, resulting in a cycle of burnout and constant staffing shortages. This toxic culture is detrimental not only to the employees but also to the quality of the services the company provides. I would not recommend working here unless you are ready to endure an unhealthy and unstable work environment.
