Pros

Nothing really, the lads are a sound bunch, but a lot of them leave which is sad to see

Cons

Poor Management, rosters are a disgrace, they cannot organize a proper roster. No weekends off, they don't care. Hard labour in a small confined space in the plane stacking bags, it takes a toll on your back and puts your health on the line for 11.55euro an hour. If you're sick, you dont get paid. Working hours could start from 1am to 9am, you get a roster every week, so you cannot plan in advance. Overall worst company to work for, sick of the management. Here, more than 4 years. No premium pay on Saturday or Sunday… Other jobs you get premium for Sunday definitely but not swissport.. You will regret joining, DO NOT JOIN. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Pros

Nothing, absolutely nothing. I just cant find anything good to say

Cons

Build on a bully mentality. Love to use their position of power to sleep and pass over female co-worker to each other managers. Why I am still working there? 15 years+, i would not find anything else to match my old contract

Pros

The pay is pretty good for the work. Employees/ other fuelers are pretty nice and respectful. The equipment isn’t the best but it gets the job done. They’re definitely in need of buying newer trucks to replace some of the 40 year old trucks they have there; Over decent place to work.

Cons

There is a bare minimum communication between management and employees. Shift Leads don’t help other fuelers when asked, Employees don’t come in for their shifts or come in late with LATE notice. You’re asked to do overtime when you’re about to clock out instead of asking in advanced (like you don’t have a life or plans outside of Swissport.) The communication between employees and shift leads is completely dependent on HR which is NOT 24/7 so no information is passed down on time to anyone. Higher up Management likes to throw employees under the bus instead of hear you out. Last but not least! Maintenance is at an all time zero, the mechanic doesn’t know what they’re doing. Tanker truck equipment such as hose reels, chocks, lights, wiring, ect.) will stay broken after multiple requests to be fixed by the tanker truck operators (fuelers). The trucks are work horses and are in operation 24/7 but there’s no one dependable to take care of them.
