Pros

History, culture, exquisite product, wonderful benefits and opportunities to grow within depending on your career path. A plethora of training tools, programs & meetings. Privately owned/5th generation run therefore plenty of passion & a feeling of being part of the Swarovski "family".

Cons

As the company continues to evolve there can be moments of disconnect, miscommunications & lack of clear vision. This affects every department especially our #1 Priority - The Customer (External/Internal).

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. At Swarovski, we love when employees want to share their positive experiences with us. As a private, family-based company, we pride ourselves on our passion and strong identity, and we are glad to hear this is something you value about the brand as well. In addition, we equally value constructive employee and customer feedback and appreciate you sharing your concerns with regards to “miscommunications & lack of clear vision”. Your feedback will be shared with upper management in both North America and Globally, as addressing this will only help us be a stronger Global brand. We also appreciate your advice, “Retail is changing, therefore, be open to new ideas, policies, and methods that support progression.” In response to this, there are a few ways in which we are integrating new technology and method to retail. For example, we are piloting new store concepts with augmented reality screens that use facial recognition to enable customers to virtually try on different products, with our first store debuting this past March in Chengdu, China, with more locations to follow. Once again, thank you for your advice and your feedback. We wish you much success in your future endeavors and look forward to welcoming you back as a customer in the future.

Pros

Health insurance for full time employees was good. Pay was acceptable, but not enough to live on as an only job for a single income household. It was easy retail work compared to clothing etc. Displays and inventory were easy to manage. Clients were very nice to work with.

Cons

In my day, employees worked alone a lot. I have heard that this policy has changed and I hope it is true. It was not safe or comfortable running a store alone. As a full time associate I covered for my manager during her maternity leave, doing much of her job, without training, compensation or the benefits of her position. This was a very poor and highly stressful policy.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. At Swarovski, we truly value constructive employee and customer feedback, both positive and negative. Our hope is to make each individual employee, from our stores to our corporate offices, feel that they are valued. As for your concerns about pay, we strive to remain competitive in our compensation practices and regularly review our pay rates and bonus structure. We are also proud as part of our compensation program to be able to offer a full benefits package to all our Full-Time employees and a modified benefit package to our PT employees, including the ability to participate in our 401K. We continually evaluate our compensation and the benefits we offer to our Full-Time and Part-time employees and recently rolled out a new Retail Employee Bonus Program. This new bonus program, the company rolled out after much research, was done to enhance our compensation and to foster an environment where teamwork can flourish. The new bonus structure also embraces an omni channel approach to selling as it takes into consideration the success of the entire North America market including our online sales. We have also recently embarked on schedule optimization and have looked at how we schedule our staff to allow for flexibility for both the company and our associates while optimizing our service levels Once again thank you for taking the time to leave a review we value feedback both positive and negative and it will be shared with upper management both in North America and Globally. This kind of feedback is crucial to the betterment of the company. As always, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

The look of some their jewelry is nice. That’s about it...even though it’s high end costume jewelry because they don’t even use real gold or silver..

Cons

This was literally the WORST job I’ve ever had! This company does VERY LITTLE to ensure that their employees are happy and enjoy the job! Starting from the very strict dress code they enforce. From the way your hair should look to the makeup you wear down the the nail polish on your fingers! And if you wear anything slightly off you’re sure to be chewed out over it! They even attack the way you stand on the sales floor! And ideally they want you to stand around in heels for hours because it makes you look “fashionable”. The bonus system absolutely sucks! It makes it nearly impossible to make a decent living working here (unless you’re full time or a manager and judging by some of their reviews it’s near impossible for them too!). Their sales tactics are extremely pushy! Always forcing different items ESPECIALLY watches onto unsuspecting customers ....oh I’m sorry, “””clients””” when they don’t even want it! Swarovski is not known for watches! They only want to push it so heavily because it’s a high ticket item. The district manager in NYC (if she’s not gone herself yet) is another story. Doesn’t listen to anyone’s suggestions and only pretended to care or so it seemed. Honestly, if you’re going to do retail avoid this place like the plague! Retail is already a grueling high stress environment with unrealistic sales expectations and overwork the employees. Swarovski does absolutely nothing to make this better. Everyone’s trying to make a buck but the people on the retail level is doing it FOR the company! Least you can do is treat them better! Starts with upper management but you know they usually suck anyway..

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. At Swarovski, we truly value constructive employee and customer feedback, both positive and negative. Our hope is to make each individual employee, from our stores to our corporate offices, feel that they are valued. We also pride ourselves on our open-door policy and encourage our employees to reach out to a member of our HR team or Upper Management with their concerns. Only when an employee shares their concerns can we address them. Feedback from current and former employees Positive and/or Negative is one of the most valuable tools we have, to help guide us in creating a positive and productive work environment. Your feedback will be shared with upper management both in North America and Globally. This kind of feedback is crucial to the betterment of the company. As always, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
