Pros

Nothing, company has gone down hill bad since Covid. No concern for mental health and managers are appalling. The pressure effects my mental health every shift and I only do short shifts, everyone hates their jobs. Only good thing are my colleagues. Store managers have a power complex never get any helped when asked

Cons

Everything. From regional to store managers the pressure is soul destroying. No one wants to be on tills anymore, constantly threatened with investigation if you are not achieving targets of selling sim card, star buys and beauty cards/perfume. Customers get annoyed and i do not blame them, i am constantly apologising for customers about having to ask them so many questions its embarrassing and the company do not care for anyones mental health, avoid this company if you can

Pros

You have guaranteed job security during covid

Cons

Management is very cliquey Pushing sales is put above your mental health, you get told off constantly if your sales aren't hitting a certain goal Basically have to harass the customer into taking baskets, beauty cards and sim leaflets and if they refuse you get in trouble

Pros

You do get some genuinely love people there who you become friends with if you're lucky, 30% discount is decent.

Cons

Where to even begin? Power hungry managers who think they're lord master of the universe and not running a small shop, area managers are completely out of touch with how bad the shop staff have it, star buys and beauty cards will cause you to have a mental break if you're not careful, they claim to care about their staff but if that was the case staff including myself wouldn't be leaving so rapidly. As my title states, loyalty and genuine hard work is frowned upon. Give them an inch and they take a mile.
