Pros

Great team (Apart from manager). Staff discount and thats really it.

Cons

This really is an excuse of a company, all the positive reviews you seen are all lies there is nothing positive about this job - 4 hours a week contracts so that they wont have to pay you much if you take days off. - Horrible manager, lied about me, treats every like crap, micromanages, swears in front of staff. - Rubbish pay for the amount of work you do, pay is same if you do 6am shift or 3pm shift. - 17 hours of holiday a year??? - No proper training given, most of them just questions on a tablet which my manager completed herself! - Whole place falling to pieces, tills 15 + years old very laggy and keep breaking. - 1 week you will be working 40 hours the next you will be working 8 hours. - Expect to work 30 mins each day without pay - Management pressuring you to sell "Star Buys" and if you do sell allot you wont get a penny in return, not even a thank you or well done from management. When i joined this company I had long term goals of working here and progressing to a management position but after just a month I decided this is not the place. I am currently looking for a new job at a company that actually cares about their staff. STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS RUBBISH COMPANY.

Pros

I wish i could say lots here but i simply cant. Good team members, 30% own brand discount, that's about it.

Cons

Low pay - even for team leaders and assistant managers!! Constant pressure to sell "starbuys" and give out "beautycards" Micro managed Constant cutting back on store hours making things difficult for staff. Contracted 39 hours for management and no paid overtime (almost all managers work overtime for nothing.... Its disgusting!!!)

Pros

Discount Staff are lovely Occasional freebies 28 days holiday + extra if you do a lot of overtime A lot of room to grow within the company Competitive salary depending on store size

Cons

39 hour contract however every week working 48+ hours with NO additional pay whatsoever or time in lieu Immense amount of pressure especially working in a big store Store managers speak down to you like you are a child Company has way to high expectations for their staff Only allowed 3 sick days off a year otherwise you’ll be investigated Made to sell rubbish stuff to customers that don’t want the products also registering beauty cards and selling poxy SIM cards Sexual harassment in a lot of stores by the male managers Also no work life balance at all! You will never ever get a weekend off and the rota gets released on a Saturday when your week starts from Sunday so no time to plan anything on your days off
