Pros

Beautiful building, good benefits, good working conditions.

Cons

Leadership tolerates incompetency and poor performance. Leadership does not take action and do not hold people accountable. Promoting from within is very hard, big discrepancies between salaries of similar positions. HR is very unfriendly. There is no discipline throughout the company. Poor project management.

Pros

Building is fairly new with good lighting and bathrooms. Employee cafeteria and vending machines are convenient, though eating at your desk is not allowed. There is an annual Christmas lunch. Location is good, right off the expressway.

Cons

Company went through a reorganization in 2018, but still shows little signs for hope. Sales performance has still suffered, and no bonuses have been paid out. The sales and marketing teams have flattened. Roles have become extremely specialized and confusion run rampant throughout the building. One person is “in charge” and makes all the decisions, big and small, which leaves little room for autonomy and empowerment. Company is overly complex and bureaucratic for its small size, with too much focus on policies and procedures. This stifles creativity and decreases morale. The workplace is demotivating to employees. It’s a very low-trust work culture. There is constant blame rather than people being held accountable for actions. Absolutely no career advancement or training is offered – not one person in engineering, marketing, research, accounting, or operations has been promoted in the last 3 years. Employees are very skilled, but undervalued and underpaid. Equivalent professionals at other companies, even smaller in size, get paid much more and are offered more perks. HR is very unfriendly. There is no discipline throughout the company. Leadership does not communicate, set priorities or inspire employees. Many of them sit in their offices and are intimidating.

Pros

- New building - Some great people work there with great ideas but not given the freedom to execute - Good experience for having minimal tools & resources...you learn to be scrappy

Cons

-HR leadership does not build healthy & engaging environment for employees instead focuses on making work more difficult for employees to work in and want to stay. HR seems scared about Japan leadership and defending American work values...sad - No work-from-home policy - Not enough young professionals - No career development for anyone to stay (should be HR function but no action by them) - Poor communication between top management and main teams (marketing & sales) - IT systems are outdated (audit would clearly show that) - Operations needs improvement
