Pros

Salary is good for the area. Lower level management in non-product development and manufacturing engineering areas is dedicated to improvement and willing to listen to new ideas. The people on the manufacturing floor are easy to work with and are striving to produce a quality product despite poor designs and questionable quality. Fitness center is a definite plus. Sale to Hitachi, Ltd. gives hope for a brighter future and is the only reason to recommend to a friend.

Cons

Very cliquish. New product development is very closed minded and oppose any ideas but their own while rehashing and perpetuating existing problems in future designs. Upper management is isolated and snobbish while making decisions that make little sense because of their lack of knowledge of what's happening on the manufacturing floor. The benefits have declined since the sale to Carlyle Group and BC Partners in 2012, but with the recent sale to Hitachi, LTD maybe hope is in the way! Severe shortage of necessary staff means that most are stressed and overworked while be rewarded with no pay increase since 2015. We've been promised a raise for over a month but have yet to see it. I can't comment on Henry Brooks as CEO since he was removed after the closing of the sale to Carlyle Group and BC Partners in 2013!

Pros

Still some very dedicated and hard-working employees trying to keep things together.

Cons

New ownership does not care about employees; community; or long-term health of the business.
