Senior leadership out of touch/ not trustworthy. Bullying has become common (and acceptable) behaviour. Lack of standardization Too many systems causing inefficiencies Numerous acquisitions that are poorly integrated High turnover Leaders say they focus on employee engagement but nothing ever changes. Will burn you out without a second thought. Stantec used to be a great company to work for but the culture and environment has been deteriorating for some time.

2 Years at the company and I still haven't had the opportunity to do any training. Not that I feel I would ever have the time to do any with the workloads. Company doesn't seem bothered about embracing new technology or equipping staff with decent laptops. Most of us in the team have an old laptop that seems to be 5 or 6 years old (they still have the PBA branding on). I've heard a really senior staff member be unbelievably sexist in meetings, as well as some very concerning comments from others. Doesn't seem to be any opportunity for promotion unless you get lucky with who your line manager is, or if you can talk your way up. Payrise last year was a fraction of inflation which was a shame as it came a month or 2 after senior staff were praising the huge profits Stantec had made.
