Good atmosphere thanks to the staff which is very helpful and kind. Good training and HR team.

Cons

Reduction of staff because the hotel changed his brand - now Sofitel (Accor). There are trying to make more profit, but it impacts directly the service as they fired a lot. Furthermore, the current director puts a lot of pressure in his employee.

Sofitel washington DC is a toxic work environment where you will be underpaid and under-appreciated. Over-time is prohibited and it will be the employees responsibility to avoid it at all costs (even if it means working off the clock to avoid being punished for unfinished/poor quality tasks) Be prepared to be yelled at by immature members of the executive committee and watch as any promises made during your interview fade away.
