Pros

None, no loyalty, changed pay structure over night. They will act as if they care but will turn their back on you in no time. No true leadership from management. I must say that I met some great coworker there that I became friends with.

Cons

No weekends off, worked Christmas and New Years. Management not there when support is needed

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are happy to hear you were able to get along with, and even become friends with your coworkers. We have a competitive pay structure based on performance. As far as schedule concerns, we are a 24/7, 365 day operation and that is explained very clearly during the interview process that candidates must be flexible. We have, however, updated our scheduling process so we no longer have turnaround schedules as our team is our top priority.

Pros

commission is probably the only plus about working for sixt. it's unlimited but very hard to make more then $1,000/month. of course like everywhere else you go, you meet SOME real nice people.. who become friends. side note: if management is buying you pizza that means it's going to be a busy day.. so yay for pizza parties!

Cons

first off!! whatever hourly rate you start at is rate you will be stuck at unless you get promoted SOMEHOW. when i first got hired i was under the impression that there is SO much room for growth but as much as i did everything right & did above and beyond my position, i never saw a raise or a promotion.. unless you are a top seller you will get the short end of the stick for scheduling.. meaning you will most likely work all late shifts (sometimes even overnight) be prepared to deal with very aggressive customers!! (i've received threats and even followed to my car) veryyyyyyy small motivation and support from management.. supervisors usually are the ones running the show. if you are interested in the check in agent position please be aware that you will be asked by your direct manager to make fake damages on cars, to check in the car with a lower gas level then it physically has.. just so that he gets his bonus & makes his money. there is a small bonus for check in agents but at any given moment it can be cut.. you will literally find out a day or two before receiving your direct deposit. breaks are very unusual.. you do not get paid MEAL PREMIUMS for not taking a lunch before your 5th hour of working.. which is against the law. morning shifts are usually fully staffed so they take breaks in a timely manner.. evening shifts are usually under staffed with NO cars to rent out for the customer yelling at you (during a busy season). & usually hardly ever get a break. once again if you see pizza in the break room.. RUN! you won't be taking breaks.. you will most likely be getting yelled at by customers all day! if you are lucky.. you get a uniform before you reach 6 months with the company. be prepared to be micromanaged.. good luck!!

Thank you for taking the time to review Sixt. We are glad to hear you like our commission based pay structure and were able to make some friends along the way! We designed our pay structure based on job analysis and job evaluation in order to reward our employees. We understand it can busy, especially during specific times and/or seasons, so management does deliver incentives such as pizza parties to make work a little more enjoyable with a free meal. Our Base Plus Commission structure is used to motivate Rental Sales Agents towards higher performance goals. Opportunity for a high pay check is based off the sales performance of each individual. We aim to hire candidates who like to sell and get excited over commission based jobs. Sixt rent a car locations can get very eventful and demanding, which in turn can provide the perfect opportunity for more earning potential. We apologize you were unhappy with your schedule, however, during the hiring process we ensure each candidate can provide flexibility. Many of our locations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please note, Sixt is compliant with California Meal Premium legislation. Employees must submit their timecard for approval at the end of each week, where a disclaimer is shown to report any missed breaks due to work. It is up to each employee to contact payroll directly when they do not take a break. It is unfortunate to hear you note managers request to report false information on our rental cars. Sixt does not condone fraud of any sort and knowledge of wrongful documentation can lead to job termination. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will further investigate this matter. We encourage you to contact our VP of HR, Gaddy Hernandez at 954-874-1793 to discuss your experience with Sixt.
