Pros

Free Friday lunch (oops that went away!), Really great product, but needs some work to be ready for the big time. The founder (Fred Luddy) is a legend. Very humble guy, father figure. The platform is a golden egg to do some explosive innovation and development, but the company culture holds people and hence innovation back CEO focused on the stock price (perhaps that is his job). Competitive pay, Quarterly bonus, Opportunity to move around and do different stuff, good mobility within the organization. Company has lots of opportunity to grow further

Cons

Stress level is just too high. Most of the times the exec staff are siting in their ivory tower (maybe counting their monthly stock sales money). HR is decent, but totally powerless - they mainly tow the line with the exec staff. Stories of abrupt firing and people disappearing one fine morning are really true. CEO's staff needs to understand that the enormous pressure they exert translates from them all the way down into the company and makes a very bad culture and one of zero loyalty. If the stock drops, people will leave so fast that you will have a stampede at the doors. Stock alone cannot build loyalty.

Pros

1. Competitive salary 2. Product is indeed very good if not the best concerning enterprise service management 3. MacBook is nice 4. Some colleagues are indeed very smart and helpful 5. If you can deliver the numbers you´re career will advance very fast

Cons

1. Regular silent firings. If you survive one or two years you´re good and/or very lucky. The bar to get in is quite low so if after a few months they figure out that you don´t meet their expectations they just fire you. 2. Micromanagement like you have never seen before 3. Political cliques. If you don´t have the support of one of the powerful ones and you don´t deliver your numbers you´re toast. 4. You can delete life from work/life balance 5. HR is only the hire/fire department. Don´t expect anything else from them.

Not the same company I joined, sadly...

Pros

The people -- colleagues, customers and partners. Uniformly some of the best, smartest and most interesting people I've met or worked with, ever. The products -- not all perfect, but innovative, effective and well-liked by customers, partners and influencers.

Cons

How the company has come to treat its people. The people are typically better to each other than the company is to them, despite the perks. What used to feel like a cohesive team came to feel more like divided, sometimes divisive factions after the 2012 IPO. People terminated suddenly and walked out of the building in the presence of others is not the way to build or sustain high morale.
