Pros

None that I can think of

Cons

Highly political and toxic environment with lot of back stabbing and finger pointing. Cronyism is widespread. Managers have lot of power without any checks and balances. 360 feedback is a scam as managers use it to manage folks with negative feedback out. ICs are essentially at the mercy of their manager. Overtime the best leaders have left and now you are left with incompetent managers who have zero EQ, questionable integrity, fragile egos and focused on empire building. They see engineers as resources aka slaves that can be easily replaced. This is especially true in Kirkland office and in cloud infrastructure development org. The management here is truly messed up that someone who is demoted for failure to deliver will again be given the same responsibilities. And this is not because the person has shown improvement but because his replacement also messed up. Joining cloud infrastructure development org as Software Engineer would mean that you are working on ServiceNow platform and won't have much flexibility to innovate or try something new. The managers there have no development background and are scared of trying anything new that carries some amount of risk. They would rather be safe and let the platform team deal with all challenges. As an IC you are not going to learn anything new that would help you grow unless your goal is to become a certified ServiceNow developer.

Pros

I do like the Mac that we're given (if you're in software development) Stock has been doing well

Cons

Probably one of the worst place to work - the worst work life balance, lack of integrity from management to employees, unbelievable politics, employees are undervalues and mistreated and yes - they FIRE as many people (or force them to quit) as they hire. Because pretty much their tool sells itself - unfortunately, no much of competition. They need a lot of bodies to do mundane scripting and data entry work - so they hire like crazy. They expect you to do as you're told, not worry about career development, and absolutely no creativity is allowed (all these will get you fired). To bury any bad reviews like this, HR (who's only purpose is recruitment and firing) and senior management posts these (very obvious) fake reviews. Please be warned - and take everything with a grain of salt as you read these shiny reviews about this so called 'demanding and rewarding', 'make an impact and see it', 'hyper growth' company.

Pros

Rising Stock Value and some free snacks in the kitchen !

Cons

1. Petty Politics : Immature, individuals with low functional experience leading major initiatives. Product politics translating into an inability to create delightful customer experiences. 2. Musical Chairs : Constant unnecessary organizational changes to cater to "extremely" insecure and political leaders at the top trying to maintain their power balance and trying to give their equally insecure and incompetent inner circle plum positions of power and manipulation. 3. Toxic Work Environment for Women : Women Managers are especially badly treated with no growth prospects and promises made that are not kept...just take a look at the number of women over manager level in the product organization (way way lower than standard benchmarks). I have personally seen multiple cases of women getting bullied at work and not having the courage to speak out due to fear of retaliation and getting fired or demoted at a whim. 4. Inefficient Sales - this team knows how to effectively sell IT solutions but is faltering very badly when it comes to selling other new products, makes you question SNOW's strategy of selling into new segments and verticals ...if I had to come up with two words for it - EPIC FAIL! 5. Lots of lip service and talks about transparent culture and diversity but is a culture built on dirty politics, games and intimidation Tag Line for the company should be changed to Create experiences that destroy employee morale and drive fierce disloyalty and dislike!
