Pros

SaaS, Cloud fast growing company free snacks a lot of parking convenient location

Cons

Playing politics at all levels. I was working in digital marketing team. In two weeks after onboarding I started hesitating in my decision to accept the offer. I was working as a contractor. Sr managers will immediately tell you they want to hire you because you are so so good. However, they do not mean that. Do you really think two weeks enough to conclude it? They just want you to work as crazy and devote all your time to the project. You will work extra hours. I do not mind working extra hours. However, no need to lie. They give you a hope without any intent to do so. All team members are competitors to each other. That is an explanation of gossips in the company. The environment is highly competitive. I was new to the team and team members were complaining about each other all the time. Even though they are not direct competitors to each other in terms of their responsibilities. Politics all the time. You may not know what other team members complain about you and you will not have a chance to explain yourself. It doesn't matter whether it is true or not. They would prefer to kiss the butt than building a team. Turnover is very high. In digital marketing team for a year 29 contractors went through the team. Senior managers would prefer to hire 3 interns, but not hiring a manager. My Sr manager told me they did not need my ideas for marketing, i had to do everything they would tell me. In marketing?!! They do not need my ideas?!?! Why then my ideas went live? Plagiarism? Yes. You do the work. They put their name on it. The company values only Sr Managers.

Pros

To understand what I love about this company you need to know 2 things: 1) Fred Luddy, the founder of ServiceNow, made a billion dollars and then came back the next day and worked harder than anyone else. In fact he still commits as much or more code than anyone else. 2) It's a culture of making the customer happy... and we have a TON to keep happy! I love my job because I know that literally thousands of people will actually use the things that I build. This is why I occasionally choose to work extra hours... not because it's expected of me. But taking time off is encouraged and I never count my days because of the unlimited vacation policy! Our teams are growing fast but they have made organizational changes all the way up to support it. So I always know who I can go to and get a straight answer. We get to choose our project management style although scrum is the most popular. I get to work with some of the best engineers in the world, many of them great teachers! I am stretched and challenged every week. I have been blessed with opportunities to travel to exciting places to work on exciting projects. The free snacks are legit: kind bars, peanut m&ms, hint water, greek yogurt... really nice perk. The quarterly bonuses are awesome. First time in my career that I've ever actually gotten what I've been promised. Last but not least... I get state of the art hardware and software, literally the best tools to do my job.

Cons

Test, test, test. If you don't catch problems with your code someone else will and you will hear about it :)

Pros

Work from home (in Professional Services) Never had a bonus not come through at near 100%. I've received significant pay increases in my 2+ years at ServiceNow

Cons

Work from home (yep here too). Responsible for much of your own growth and development. Work-Life balance is very difficult to manage AND be successful.
