Pros

Learn a lot about products with trainning from acct. excutives, a new brand comes in about twice a month and you recieve lots of gratis for participating. I love helping customers choose products and with sephora having all the diffarent brands and being an open counter, their was a favorite product in every brand and also made it possible that their was a product for eveyone.

Cons

You have to wear uniforms and they are ugly! somtimes you would be zoned in areas of the store for long periods of time, their was enough of us working that the rotaion should not have been a problem.

Pros

the training, environment and freebies i love products so learning about them was a joy every day i also learned about skincare and this information was valuable to me to find a new job in a related field from the experience I gained and the information obtained hands on and in trainings

Cons

the management was not fair and did not promote from within they also went through about 4 store directors in the 2 years that I was there fired 2 women with years of experience and hired 4 men with no experience in their place after a new director (male) came in to replace the female director

Pros

All associates are given tons of free products aka "gratis"...all the time! Full time or Part time. Opportunity to work fewer holiday hours if necessary due to winter temporary hires.World class training. All employees are sent to week long (or condensed 3-day long) basic training. Also, there is continuous training on in-store brands during the week with brand representatives usually include free food. Above average emphasis on work-life balance. Opportunity to make more money than at other "mall jobs".

Cons

(Location-specific)...management appears to never promote from within. All management positions filled by new-hires making it seem impossible for career advancement. At times, catty/gossiping work environment.
