Pros

The staff you work with are usually lovely but there are absolutely no pros to working here. It is a company that has absolutely no respect for its employees and has no idea how to run a hospitality business.

Cons

Everything. The company is being completely run to the ground by incompetent management and senior management who have no idea what they are doing and consistently make abhorrent, uninformed decisions that fill their pockets in the short term but absolutely destroy the business and the livelihoods of its employees in the short term. Multiple restaurants have had to shut down due to absolutely incompetent management leaving its staff redundant with no notice and no compensation whatsoever. Together with its inadequate job contracts this company offers no job security to its hardworking employees - and while staff are held to high standards and expected to go above and beyond their contracts, often performing a manager or supervisor’s role without extra pay or recognition, managers consistently breach contract, work bare minimum hours and pass of their responsibilities to others. Selina is defined by greed, selfishness and incompetency.

Cons

Selina's business practices are as unethical as they come. Unpaid artists, suppliers and tradespeople seeking payment for services provided to the company fill your day. There is no training or support, nor is there an open line of communication with upper management or HQ. A normal work week is 80-100hrs. There is no overtime pay or benefits. In one year the company fired and replaced the higher management 4 times. The average time a worker remains at Selina is 3 months. The leadership shows no appreciation or value for their workers.
