Pros

Flexible schedule and you meet great people

Cons

Flexible working time means you work min 16h/day but you are lucky to choose if that will be 18. Leadership is clueless doesnt own up to their bad decisions but blames it on even the lowest position. They change strategies by the day because they are desperate. They expect managers to be lawyers recruiters controllers finances marketing sales experience customer service revenue managers fb specialists and act as if they own their locations whilst the only thing managers are given is a bad lease with an unfit concept and broken buildings with 0 resources- minimum headcount and they dont pay vendors ever. The company is a disaster and getting worst by the day.

Proceed with Caution: Mixed Bag of Challenges

Pros

I joined Selina with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience has been mixed at best. Strong Team Bonding: Despite the challenges we face, the people at Selina have formed a strong bond. There's a saying that adversity creates stronger connections, and that holds true here. The camaraderie among colleagues is a bright spot in an otherwise challenging environment.

Cons

*Lack of Leadership: The absence of strong leadership is noticeable. A culture of tough and rude management is encouraged and practiced from the highest positions, exemplified by the Chief People Officer's narcissistic tendencies, despite holding the highest position in the HR chain. The board's personal agenda often supersede the well-being of the team. *Disregard for Work-Life Balance: Work-life balance is a foreign concept at Selina, where employees are expected to work long hours without proper acknowledgment or compensation. *Low Compensation: Compensation packages offered by Selina fall well below industry standards, failing to reflect the dedication and hard work of employees. Employees are undervalued *Minimal Benefits: Benefits packages are nearly nonexistent, offering only the bare minimum required by law, such as insurance policies. *Limited Growth Opportunities: The primary avenue for growth at Selina is tied to high turnover rates.
