Pros

It's a decent place to work while in school or as a second job. They are flexible with schedules similar to most retail jobs. They pay better than some retail because you get paid for selling things along with hourly pay. It's very relaxed and easy going and if youre a good employee.

Cons

It's not a great place to work as far as career advancement. They way managers and sales leads are chosen is crazy. It is completely based on favoritism. They care more about money than how the customer is treated and cut hours based on sales. Management is very unprofessional.

Pros

You can be absolutely incompetent and still do the expected requirements. zero accountability and zero responsibility is needed to work for this company. at no point do you ever have to care for a single second about your job. no one else in the building cares so why should you. you can coast through and get a pay check.

Cons

absolutely miserable place to work, no benefits, no leadership, zero respectable management and zero team work. A complete dead end job. terrible management. it used to be a somewhat half way respectable company to work for up until about 6 months prior to it merging with k mart a few years back. it was all downhill from there.

Pros

As a "Senior", Sears Holdings is a good place to work. They do not discriminate because of age. In fact they encourage "Seniors" to join the company by recruiting us at "Seniors-Boomers" Job Fairs. They see the value of having people who have a work ethic and can be depended on. Unfortunately, younger workers never grasped this concept.

Cons

In the Call centers, nights and weekend hours are required for some positions.
