Pros

They are always hiring. But that tells you something about employee satisfaction and turnover..... They do have a pretty good system of giving you feedback, when ever you do well you really get a lot of acknowledgment through out the store so that is one nice thing. They also take care of you as far as discounts go, they have tons of family and friend days so there are lots of opps to by the merchandise BUT if it is old and outdated you might not be interested in it, like me.

Cons

They are way to focused on selling credit cards. If you don't sell enough you can be let go.

Pros

Working at a Sears store is a pretty easy job to get and it is good if you can't find anything else, say maybe for like a summer. Of the people working there, besides the sales clerks, generally half are not the most dedicated and competent workers, so you only have to be a better worker than these people to ensure job security for the most part--and it doesn't take much effort to be one of the better workers there.

Cons

Management will never let you get anywhere near 40 hours after your first 2 weeks (during which you are allowed to get close to but not exceed 40 hours, for training purposes). This means no full time benefits. I held two positions and still got paid nearly minimum wage. Management is never in a good mood, probably because someone is always breathing down their neck as well, so if you can avoid them, do.
