Pros

If you work hard and excel at what you do, you can and will advance. They are usually fair-handed with promotions and recognition of good results. They are very, very understanding when you need time off for family or personal issues, more than any employer I have ever heard of.

Cons

It takes 18-24 months in salaried management to advance. This may be to the benefit of many who are thrown into jobs unprepared, but to those who can adapt well to changing environments and situations, it seems like a restraint on much of the competent management within Sears Holdings.

Pros

Working on new projects and the management staff support you receive. The Management team is working hard to change Sears works and bring it more in line with the retail word. The only problem is they are not able to remove the image of Sears as an appliance only store. There put a lot of pressure on projects to perform and the timelines are very short for projects and you are held accountable to the timelines knowing they are not realistic. There is the a lot of reporting that needs to be done to justify if a project is not able to meet the Timelines

Cons

Unrealistic timelines for projects to be completed
