Pros

It has pretty good benefits for a retail position. They also have a good training program that was comprehensive, although now outdated (looks like it was made in the late 1980s).

Cons

It was difficult for me because my salary was based of commission in sales. My store did not have too much foot traffic. Sears will pay you a certain base rate for the hours you worked if you are unable to make enough commission. However you have to make it up with your future sales which can be quite difficult and leave you in a rut.

Pros

I worked in sales, and while the other employees were great to work with, some of the customers seemed to be much nastier than at at other stores. This was at a repair center though, so this could be different at regular department stores.

Cons

As said above, some customers were not very polite, also there was very poor communication between departments, leading to customers not getting the repairs they asked for.
