Pros

Well if you are in Management the Pay is Pretty Good. Managers start at 61k per year and you do receive compensation for Mileage during training. You also receive some great certifications like becoming Food Safety Certified. You will learn about Osha Requirements, Fema, and Family Medical Leave Act. You will have a better understanding about how to run a business.

Cons

Well this company is, lets just say kindly, the worst experience I ever had and that's by a lot. You are treated extremely badly by the Gm's. Depending on the Gm you will be attacked or protected by them. The Upper Management Reminds me of Moonies, Born again Christians in as much as that they use the same language. They are very nice to you to your face and then do everything possible to place in you a position to fail. The Reason you go into a Walmart or a Sams club and never see management visible is because of the fear of the Associates. The culture is set up that any frivolous charge must be investigated as if the charge where valid. Managers have no option but to limit their interactions with associates and just write them up(Coaching) to motivate associates. Who then can go to GM to complain. The Gm again is either going to protect you or hurt you and they generally treat all Assistant Managers as unworthy serfs.

Pros

Easy to acquire this position Work outside in the warmth Automated cart pusher Unlimited water to drink Heated cart storage in the winter, though most time is spent outside working

Cons

Upper management is unwilling to accommodate needs Understaffed almost constantly Nature of position draws employees that tend to not show up for work or not work at all Work outside in the cold/rain Cart pusher is sometimes broken and management will not fix in good time or add more employees to make up for lack of it

Pros

Co-workers are generally some great people, the managers I've seen have always been shown to care even when they have twenty more important things to do, they've set aside time for me and co-workers no matter what.

Cons

Some extremely rude customers, but that goes for every retail outlet. They are extremely strict over hours and even cut short several people who are part time but bust their ass making departments look great.
