Pros

They hire just about anyone thinking they can train them. They have really high attrition, so moving up-even if not qualified is easy. People are always leaving so you can choose where you want to go and make it there.

Cons

Management is top heavy and does not listen to those below. It's a my way or the highway attitude at Sabre now. You no longer have a voice and that is sad. They do not pay you what you are worth. Most come to Sabre to get experience and then leave.

Great people. Company is going wrong way

Pros

Great people to work with, as humans and professionals. Good place to start at junior level and have a first internship or first job. Coffee is for free. they teach you how to deal with typical HR dinosaurs. Great culture in terms of no discrimination and CSR.

Cons

Salaries very out of range, and you are asked to give 150% of your life to company. No vision, no idea of industry of technology, very outdated, working in crisis mode every day. Rules are different depending if you are a good friend of HR or not. Permanent change of high level execs who are not longer than 2 or 3 years in company, now they know nothing about travel industry.

Transforming too long

Pros

- flexible working environment - skilled coworkers - testing is usually quite well-organized - different systems, sub-systems, pretty complex, a lot of to learn

Cons

- unclear vision - transformation started in mid-2013 has brought about a lot of turmoil, still some teams are being split / moved / projects closed - it's agile but it's not agile in fact
