      A strong software company with a focus on growth and pragmatism

      Pros

      Strong financial position, fun market problems with lots of technical and business opportunities, a vibrant culture, smart people. Also there is a large effort to internationalize the company and a lot of jobs are being moved overseas. The net results is US people finding new jobs and hiring very smart people in Krakow and Uruguay. SHS business unit is exploding with opportunities.

      Cons

      for the GDS side of the business, there may be industry challenges. This is being well managed, but downsizing may continue. Too many layers of management that slow things down. Tends to be an up or out company, with lots of youth and few people over 40.

      Pros

      The people is the main reason that makes this place and why I have remained so many years. The Work From Home can be a benefit assuming you have a Manager that allows it.

      Cons

      No work life balance. Promotions are based on how well you can promote yourself via a PowerPoint and networking and stop being about your actual accomplishments. Company feels that more Project Managers is what we need when we need people that do actual real work.

      Ok, but feels like several small companies not one big one.

      Pros

      People are good, 401K is good, PTO better than most. Lots of opportunities to work with global customers and some interesting new products.

      Cons

      Some projects can be very stressful, the product lifecycle doesn't seem to be incorporated into delivery very well, focus on completing the product rather than what needs to be done to actually deliver it.
