      A potentially great company spoiled by MBA managers and HR

      Pros

      - a warm, friendly atmosphere - stable products - diverse technology (if nowhere near cutting edge)

      Cons

      - never-ending layoff cycles with layoffs not based on merit but random or department level - HR is pretty bad here. They don't pay attention to employees and contacting them is very difficult. As a hiring manager, the candidates they pass through aren't the ones you want

      Pros

      Allowed WFA during covid. Decent pay for Dallas area.

      Cons

      Where do I start...my first week most of my team was laid off. Then 2 months in, a couple other folks laid off, including my manager. Folks on edge all the time fearing layoffs. Some people were really fearful they were hesitant to share any knowledge. Doesn't seem to be any management training. Massive layoffs happened in 2023 where Sabre let most of the US folks off, people with a wealth of knowledge, being at Sabre for decades. Is supposed to be a US company but most folks now are in Poland and India. Meetings were usually on their time. Culture and diversity is poor.

      Pros

      Before Kurt Ekert took over3 weeks, Sabre was a great place to work. Great pay, perks and benefits.

      Cons

      Since Ekert took over, within 3 weeks they cleared out most of their US dev teams. They plan to rebuild with offshore associate level resources.
