The work is often stressful, dangerous, performed in adverse weather conditions. Work schedule is very dynamic (meaning you may be doing one thing today, and tomorrow you could be travelling to a remote job site with as little as 24 hours notice). The lack of consideration for an employees family is very disturbing, and may cause life at home to be strained.
