Pros

•Flexible hours. •Great coworkers. •Overtime, if you want it. •If you like not going to work but still being employed, this is the job for you! They won’t fire anyone or do anything about it!

Cons

•Terrible management. •Will pressure you into working overtime. •Not much room for advancement. •Management has no idea what’s going on in the lab and does nothing about people who don’t work/show up. •Will throw projects on to you when unprepared, then does not supply staffing or supplies to be able to handle it. •Will take credit for your work, or give credit to people who don’t deserve it. •Fast turnaround. Be prepared to be burnt out with no help, since everyone is overworked.

Pros

This is merely a place to go and get your 1-2 years of experience and leave for a company that actually has things to offer.

Cons

I was getting paid 28.5%-44%+ more than my coworkers. There are clear pay discrepancies that affect women and minorities the most. Management and senior management need more experience in leadership and actually dealing with people. There is absolutely no corporate culture. Because it lacks corporate involvement, this cascades into many other issues in the future. Here we have a multi-billion dollar revenue producing company that does not have Christmas parties and gives extremely small annual raises. What are bonuses here? (they don’t exist). Management only cares about the bottom line. Apparently, you can become a lead straight out of college now. That makes complete and total sense. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Pros

A few nice people left Good location in Mississauga for head office of Canada. Large internatational co.

Cons

Very poor upper management leadership in the functions in Canada and some of the business lines. MGT in the US doesn't care either unfortunately as CDN ops are treated as the ugly step child Very poor employee engagement Some employees are literally quitting without even giving 2 weeks notice they are so fed up Horrible work life balance-eg..the finance team has to work long unpaid hours including weekends and all stat holidays which is ridiculous...we feel bad for them Other business lines are the same and employees are counting the minutes to getting out and getting good work life balance with good pay Very high turnover either via quitting or getting fired All about cost costing Pay is within lowest quartile in the industry No salary increases for most Cost cutting constantly while the work is piled on. More with less. No growth opportunities Mgt gets their annual salary increases and bonuses while the rest of us who do all the work get nothing
