Pros

Good international working environment Living abroad 3 year contract Getting to fly to different destinations Discount for staff travel

Cons

No Career progression Salary very low Only earn as long as I have flight hours, the moment you step in the crew room and have to be stuck for hours sometimes on the ground due to weather/various delays, is not paid at all!

Pros

It's easier to get the certification and experience as CC.

Cons

EVERYTHING. If based in Dublin be aware that they'll never give you a transfer, even if during the interview and the training course they trick you into thinking that in one year you'll get a transfer. This doesn't happen because everyone wants to leave that hell of base, so many people find it easier to resign or change company. Lots of No.1 based there have asked for transfers 6/7 years ago and are still waiting to get it. Working environment extremely toxic: No.1 expecially are ready to report for everything in order to get noticeable for promotions (spoiler: it doesn't happen, but helps creating the worst environment ever onboard and it affects every crew member). The salary is low compared to the standards of life in Ireland, I even got to know crew members who had to work two jobs (one during their 3 days off) to get more money. Staff Travel is risky and even though Dublin might be a huge airport, for many places you won't even have the possibility to come back home during your 3 days off since many flights are available every 4 days. The worst part: your fixed working shifts are not fixed at all. You'll get to work even up to 14hrs a day, and of course, ONLY flying hours will be paid. Don't let this company exploit you. They literally drain your health off.
