Pros

Amazing pet nutrition and quality of product. Good benefits. A lot of really talented people to learn from. Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion .

Cons

Top leadership changes often and tends to be very political environment. Way too much micromanagement and high turnover in the sales team because of low morale and unrealistic goals. Don’t count on bonus - it’s hard to get. If you are one of the “favorites” it’s great for you, but if not you have to really market yourself for any kind of recognition for your work. Culture should be built on five principles of Mars but this division doesn’t seem to follow them at all. The challenges in the business seem to always come back to the perceived failure and laziness of the sales team and not the decisions of leadership or lack of customer focus. Seems like climbing the corporate ladder in the company is a much bigger priority for associates than the slogan of “making a better life for pets”. Not as pet focused as it used to be.

Pros

My first 90 days at Mars have been nothing short of amazing! The training provided was incredibly focused on my specific role, equipping me with the skills and knowledge I need to excel. I truly appreciate the supportive environment fostered by my colleagues and leadership, which has made my transition seamless. The emphasis on collaboration and growth has made me feel valued as part of the team. I am excited to continue my journey here and contribute to the incredible work being done at Royal Canin/Mars!

Cons

To further enhance our team's effectiveness, we should continue to prioritize training and mentorship programs tailored to individual roles. By investing in ongoing development, we can empower associates to reach their full potential and foster a culture of continuous learning. This commitment will not only strengthen our workforce but also drive innovation and success across the organization

Pros

Night shift had no supervisor so we were free to do whatever we wanted as long as minimum amounts of work was done. Watched a lot of Netflix and sports.

Cons

The business disclosed to close doors and did so rather unprofessionally.
