Poor leadership

Pros

Decent pay/benefits. Free parking for downtown location.

Cons

Very bureaucratic organization with arrogant leadership. They've made things so complicated that they can't get out of their own way, which shows in their financials and stock price, yet those who create this environment stay. It is also extremely passive/aggressive culture - people/managers will act like they are ok with you, then complain behind your back. In this sense, the management is very cowardly. I would not recommend to work here.

Losing Talent

Pros

Some really talented people that want to do the right thing but are stifled due to the siloes and complex processes that have engulfed the site over the last 5+ years.

Cons

Global ownership driving inefficiencies in the USA and other satellite offices. The home base is significantly larger so the drive for complex global processes doesn't work at sites that have 1/4 of the employees than the home base

Pros

Looks good on a resume.

Cons

Indianapolis office is run like a high school,if you are not a member of the in crowd your chances for a raise or promotion are almost zero. Terrible work life balance, favored employees are given extra days off and reduced workload. In 2014 the salaried workforce took a pay cut by loosing 3 company holidays and in 2015 the salaried employees took another pay cut by seeing a large increase in health care costs and the introduction of "total time" also known as mandatory (unpaid overtime) of 9%.
