Pros

Many nice people who would like to make changes for the positive.

Cons

Poorly organized, elitist culture, behind the times technically, very political, don't know what they don't know. Will read an article on innovative approaches and decide they are experts...

Pros

You get a lot of hands on experience as well playing with a lot of automation toys which can be a break from typical office cubical world. The training they give in the beginning is great too.

Cons

Field Service Engineering position is the lowest engineering position at Rockwell. They hire Engineering Technology majors, even technicians with enough experience to do the job. Basically you don't need a real engineering degree to do the job. Sales people (& everyone else at Rockwell) consider Field Service Engineers replaceable and therefore try to abuse them as much as they can. Also one note about sales engineers, they have ZERO technical knowledge about what they sell. So they could sell an automation product claiming it will cure cancer and you have to go to customer and actually do it.

Not the same company it used to be. Avoid.

Pros

Benefits were good and included maternity/paternity leave, summer fridays, flex hours, remote work, DEI, and 401k matching. The brand is well established and known in the Automation space.

Cons

The company has lost its way over the last 5yrs. No leadership vision. Countless reorganizations, multiple layoffs this year, deferred merit, no bonus, return to work policies, rescinding company cell phones, lack of culture, lack of listening to employees, bad leadership decisions. Many acquisitions that aren’t integrated properly and have pivoted away from core brand.
