The whole company has gone woke

Pros

Great company, outstanding products with growth to be had.

Cons

The company has pivoted HARD to woke ideology. RA has hired a chief diversity EQUITY and inclusion leader reporting directly to the CEO. Managers are being required to take 5 hours of training focused on micro aggressions, how everyone should properly gender someone etc. etc. The company used to be very modern yet stayed away from politics. Departures of senior leaders are ALL being filled externally by East and West coast liberals. Hiring practices are being observed where the 7th best candidate is selected strictly because they meet the diversity quotas set up by HR. On many occasions, great leaders are leaving the company due to lack of ability to progress while very poor performing people are promoted to meet the woke agenda. If you are a white male, good luck. During recent political unrest (rioting etc) the company sends positive messages supporting BLM. They then also send negative messages to anything that may be equally happening from the other political spectrum.

Pros

Very few that I can think of now.

Cons

Rockwell is dying. The culture and business performance are all down. Leadership is completely tone-deaf and doesn't understand how to build a strong culture or strategy. RIFing nearly 6K people quietly while C-Suite takes 10s of millions in bonuses makes no sense. Cancelling raises and bonuses all while pulling people back into the office who have ALWAYS been remote is demotivating. You are taking money and time from your teams and asking them to do more with less people. Our Mayfield teams are now being taxed more to go to the office, and that doesn't include the cost of commuting. Unclear and inconsistent policies big brothered by tech that doesn't work and causes people to be reprimanded for not coming in when they were there is not ok. You're losing your best people and left with the scraps. Leadership is short sighted constantly pivoting long-term strategy based on 3 months of results. They over estimated performance this year based on a record last year, fell short and pivoted the strategy away from the future of the company and into saturated markets that got us here. Teams work in complete silos unaware that the same product you're building another team is working on too. Its maddening. The days of old Rockwell are gone. We used to be a great company to work for.

Pros

Big company perks Company wide activities and programs offered throughout the year Paycheck & benefits

Cons

The culture is extremely conservative, political, stale, good ole boys club, with a rigid mentality. A culture of exclusion and retaliation seems to be supported. Lacks diversity in middle and upper management and leadership positions. The ID teams' management works in direct opposition to Rockwell's ethics mission and will actively use bullying tactics and/or suppress certain individuals based on personal intolerances or judgments. Priding herself on using constructive dismissal tactics to create a hostile work environment that results in employees resigning. HR seems to support this despite the high turnover and numerous complaints. Very dysfunctional work experience.
