Pros

The pros to working at River Island were that you got 30% discount off of everything in store and that it was a very young working environment, perfect if you are a student interested in fashion.

Cons

The cons to working at River Island were that if your working behind the scenes e.g. in the stock room, the people working on the shop floor can be very demanding of you and underestimate how much work you actually have to do. Staff working in the stock room should definitely get paid a little more, I found it very hard, tiring and wearing.

Staff discount. 75% off trousers and 30% off rest of store.

Cons

Boring, dull, average pay, rubbish hours, repetitive jobs. Not much training, just expected to know everything.

Set hours, good management, nice group of people

Cons

Staff discount poor in comparison to competitors. Didn't rotate, for example was on fitting room or till for entire shift, even if working full8 hour days
