Pros

My colleagues are all really nice and fun to talk to, the managers are too. The work and technology is pretty straight forward.

Cons

.The pay is crap for the amount of work you do . Managers from every department will tell you what to do even if they're not on your department . Communication between mangers is SO BAD and the sales assistants end up getting blamed for their negligence . The technology doesn't work half the time . Customers complain more about the bad attitude that the managers have more than the regular sales assistants . Employees are not taught how to deal appropriately with customers . Training is non existent . Staff turnover if so high that you never know anyone's name. . Even on full time wages, you'd still probably have to live your parents.

Pros

- Met some very good friends. - I worked part time, and had the same two days a week so it was easy to schedule around work. - 30% discount on stock with a £150 limit, renewed every 4 weeks. - Free uniform to the value of £60 (dependent on amount of works worked each week) - Busy shop so the shifts went in fast.

Cons

- Very cliquey work environment. Particularly the managers. If they did not like you, things such as swift swaps were made very difficult. - Holidays worked sunday-saturday, and it was very difficult to get holidays in the first place. - The uniform for part time (under 20 hours) you only received one top and one bottom, over the christmas period where you could be working up to 40 hours, you were not given additional work wear, and my friend got given disciplinary action for wearing a white top from another retailer as he worked a 6 day week and was only given one top. -Managers did very little work.

Pros

50% discount for mgmt. Uniform allowance.

Cons

Operations was always the one to blame. Sales assistants feel undervalued. Segregation between mgmt and sales assistants. High turnover and sickness due to team feeling unworthy and untrusted, incorrectly paid monthly or not paid at all. Constantly feeling on edge from scrutiny, made out as though I am a liar. Met Loss Prevention Officer, first question he asks is "who do you think is stealing". Negative atmosphere created by other managers. The list goes on.
