Pros

Very fun and satisfying place to work. Employees value taking care of their guests and giving quality service. They pay above all other hotel companies. They truly care for the employees and live up to their motto: "Ladies and Gentleman Serving Ladies and Gentleman".

Cons

Working late evenings, weekends and holidays.

Pros

They truly treat you like a lady or gentleman. It is a very luxurious company and they expect you to act with the utmost professionalism and spending a lot of money and time making sure that you do. The do not hire base on experience but more or so aptitude and willingness to serve. Great perks for working with the company that is owned by Marriott. Their main focus is their employees as they know it is the backbone to their success. I learned life long lessons that have continued to assist me in my career past the Ritz.

Cons

It is a luxury hotel company which means lots of old money floating around. Some of the guests can be rude, but you know that going into it. I had to leave due the economy going south. When the economy tanks, luxury is the first thing to take a hit. Sucks as I would love to still be working there, but it is too volatile.

Pros

Competitive pay & raises, great health benefits, promote growth and continual skill refinement & education. All real problems in the work place have an opportunity to be heard and addressed. Their employees are very important to them. There are many events for employee appreciation.

Cons

There isn't much room for "individuality." They are very strict is appearance & attire. Sometimes their corporate protocol may not fit every specific situation and there isn't much room for negotiation or a case by case evaluation.
