Pros

A great place with great line staff who are mostly highly motivated. Ritz is a great employer to have on your CV.

Cons

Poor senior management, poor decision making in promotions (supervisor level). Senior management takes too much advantege of their priviliges especially during the recession.

Pros

Great company to work for. The people and the culture actually make you want to get up in the morning and go to work.

Cons

It's still the hospitality industry, i.e. salaries stink. Think you'll buy a house, drive a nice car, eat out at nice restaurants... think again. Other than that it is probably one of the best places to work.

Pros

the healthcare benefits are decent and the company name looks great on your resume!

Cons

Because of the high esteem of the company name they tend to slack on some of the benefits other companies give. There is a perception from the outside that the company treats its employees like it treats its customers even though that is rarely the case. In many instances there are very large discrepencies in how employees are treated within the same company.
