Pros

I can tell others that I work for the Ritz-Carlton, which is for sure a leading luxury hospitality company. Ritz Carlton claim some top of the cooks, I am proud of that. However the cons are much more degrading then the Pros

Cons

Working for this particular management is extremely negative. Discipline is comprised of unprofessional language and yelling, theres no sense of well being to any of the culinary team, as we are never commended for out output. Everything is far too unorganized, I can understand that I work at a new property and these are considered growing pains. However Ive never formally been trained, only been thrown on a new station and expected to perform, if not a write up will occur. That to me is very unwelcoming and im sure others wouldnt mind this, but it makes the job unpleasant.

Pros

Working in the best locations with some of the best staff assembled in prior years.

Cons

Ever changing landscape with Marriott constantly making adjustments in Senior Leadership. Ritz-Carlton becoming just another brand in the Marriott family.
