Pros

-Colleagues, that is really all.

Cons

-Salary (Add 10k to your offer, if they can't agree, don't accept). -Employee Discount (40% off regular price items, 20% off sale). -Lack of trainings. -Outdated Software. -High turnover. -No work / life balance. They want you to work 13-15 hour days, everyday, and expect you to come in on weekends, even some holidays. - Only 10 paid holidays. -Everyone blames each other. -Last minute tasks, they expect you to finish a 5 hours project in 30 min. -No communication, zero.

Pros

The pros working for R.H. are few and by "few" I mean two. 1. Beautiful Product, design and style 2. Pay was decent/good.

Cons

Cons: Everything else about the company.... Let's start with the "core values" that the company proudly preaches and stands behind. Their core values are: People, Quality, Service and Innovation. They use these "values" against their employees during review time or when enforcing policy or correcting performance but not to actually create a healthy store environment or support the employee working experience. They have created a cult-like company culture that is highly excluding/discriminatory to many good, qualified and talented employees both potential employees through an overly drawn out hiring process and to current employees that don't "fit in" with their core values. One of the company slogans is "there's no school for cool" in their words in an employee handout, "there's no school for cool: either you're cool or you're not, we don't teach cool..." The idea of an inclusive workplace does not exist at R.H. Next would be absolutely no work-life balance. Salaried managers are expected to work as many hours as needed to cover the store. This becomes especially ridiculous when they allow the store to fall well below management census sometimes having only 2 managers employed in one store for several months at a time. Expect to work 60-70 hours easily if you are salaried. Lastly this company is an H.R. nightmare. Policy is subjective and favoritism is common. Disciplinary action is inconsistent at best.

Pros

Sample sales, anyone below the level of director were really good to work with, amazing products and decent pay.

Cons

If you like working for uninspiring and incompetent leaders who only care about how high up the ladder they can reach...than this is place for you! Most of the leaders lack the basic knowledge of how to do their jobs which will make you wonder if any of them really went to college and their level of incompetence will also cause you to constantly muttering the phrase "Really, you really want me to do that!?" Trust me, it happens more times than you would think. For example, I had to plan my department's budget on several occasions because my boss didn't know how to do basic math. They don't care about their employees and the core values are constantly thrown in your face if you ever question them. Decisions are constantly changed at the last hour and as a result you're always doubling your efforts on projects, which is why the average work day is 10-12 hours. A work life balance is non-existant and the frequency of people suffering from stress related illnesses have gone up in the past couple of years. Because of that the turnover rate is extremely high and many talented people have left the company–some have even quit without finding a new job and currently the company is having a hard time filling positions because of their reputation for burning out people.
