Pros

Met some great people and built great friendships. Got to work on some interesting projects

Cons

The managers and teams leads are not helpful and do not care about your career path. They preach having all these values but really use them against you. They want you to have an opinion but only if it agrees with their opinions and does not challenge them. They ask how they can support you but then don't provide support or seem to care to help. They say their people come first but them don't treat you as person. They are willing to give you feedback but are not willing to take it themselves. They say they promote open communication but don't actually want to have an honest conversation.

Pros

Sales become a great resume builder. Clients with massive projects and budgets are constantly coming in and calling in. New product to work with all the time. You can become really well versed with Salesforce and CRM systems.

Cons

Clients will bully you - leadership doesn't care. Leadership is always stressed. The gallery leader is the worst leader I have ever worked with. This is the only office I have worked at where the leadership or managers office isn't glass or the door isn't always open. Pressure to make sales goals is overwhelming. Terrible scheduling - they are open on Easter and many other holidays. Product is always backordered or unavailable - this is not an accident - home office consistently launches product before it's ready. The restaurant and gallery attracts 15 y/o instagram girls who run around taking pictures and provocative characters who have no idea where they are and are looking for the "club" and are embarrassing to work around while you are with a high value client. You will start every day with a values meeting. This is the Kool Aid meeting. They preach fancy quotes from our CEO and try to create a positive and organic conversation about how great RH is. Do not fall for it. This is a PUBLIC company. And the stock price has been increasing. As a result the company is pushing to publish more fancy international ventures as fast as they can. This is where the real money comes from and why all of the gallery employees are treated as fungible and paid so little.

Pros

Closest I’ve ever felt to any of my coworkers, we truly became a family. Decent pay, vacation time, and benefits were a major plus.

Cons

Where to begin! 1) Pay was pretty good until you take into consideration all the tasks you do that aren’t in your job description. Seriously, if you show any sort of willingness to try something new, they jump on it. It’s not even that they want to give you an opportunity to grow and learn new things, they just want to take advantage of people who say yes. 2) Leadership had their favorites and made it pretty well known and didn’t try to hide favoritism. Dress code violations, preferred scheduling, and “celebrations” were usually a dead give away. 3) Values meetings are a joke. There’s no other way to put it. They ask for feedback and are either a) surprised that people feel some type of way about being overworked or share the same feelings, or b) lie time and time again about everything they’re working on changing, like hiring 4) Turnover is the highest I have ever seen, at least in the gallery. Turnover isn’t high due to training’s lacking anything (lol, whichever leader thinks this is so blind). Turnover is high due to poor leadership, promises that never come, and burnout.
