Pros

The company attracts good people given its brand and luxury name. Base pay is higher than other companies.

Cons

The four values are drilled into your head from the beginning. Bunch of people using the same cheesy phrases. It is all a cover up for the lack of performance in every team. Ask a team about their metric and they will tell you how they don't lead with their KPIs. In reality these leaders don't know what their people are doing and have zero competencies themselves. Every little decision goes to the top and Gary makes all the decisions. Bunch of bullies up top that throw their weight around and putting everyone under them as scapegoats. All the best talent leaves this s-show after a few years. There is very high turnover I would't be surprise if it is more than 50% every year. Every time they need cash they cut bunch of people but will waste money on the dumbest things. Some days you are working 14 hours into midnight because Gary wants to grill his reports and you are stuck there twiddling your thumb waiting to pull some report or give some answer. You get yelled at like a little kid and you take it because the guy owns you. My whole team is in constant fear. Most holidays aren't covered and you are working around the clock. The health insurance goes up every year. They tell you how much they spend on it but when you check online it is far below any industry. They pass the increases to their people and tries to cover it up by changing your plan details. The company has some of the worst benefits in every industry. Compare them to any company and RH is last. The 401k match have been asked by every employee and they are too cheap to do it. The stock program is dragged out for so many years that very few people actually gets the shares. They moved out merit to save money last year and gave a 3%. This year we still haven't even done a performance review and its been radio silence. Last year I couldn't even print the dumb thing to give to my reports. My people ask me what I'm rating them on and I have to write it out on Words. The higher base salary isn't even competitive after a few years working here. I can go on and on. Some of these things are run by the most incompetence group of people I have ever seen.

Pros

Beautiful product however cheaply made and over priced.

Cons

Working at RH was a deeply disappointing experience, to say the least. From the outset, it was clear that the company lacked a supportive and inclusive environment. The culture at RH was toxic, characterized by favoritism, cliques, and a lack of transparency. Communication was poor, and there was a pervasive sense of distrust among colleagues. Management turned a blind eye to employee concerns and consistently failed to address issues within the workplace. Furthermore, RH offered subpar compensation and benefits packages, making it difficult to justify the long hours and stressful work environment. There was little to no opportunity for advancement or professional development, leaving employees feeling stagnant and undervalued. In summary, my time at RH was deeply disappointing and frustrating. I would caution anyone considering employment here to think twice and explore other options. RH as a long way to go in terms of improving its workplace culture and supporting its employees.

Pros

There are nice employees if you vibe with them

Cons

Truly a showroom that wants to see itself as a design company by hiring only interior designers. But the hours are retail, the work schedule is retail, the pay is retail. As the director said, "we don't charge for our design skills, we charge for our furniture" so that should be seen as a punch to your design degree. The morning meetings are painful. It's too much to have everyday. Playing games and telling quotes sounds like I'm back at daycamp. They won't tell you until the offer that you don't get back to back days off. A red flag is when companies say we are your family and that is how they see themselves. Siblings and parents. No thanks. Quick turnaround - people stay for 3-6 months because the amount of work isn't worth it. You truly sign your life to them. Reviews are real, believe them.
