Pros

Competitive Pay, endless spending budget, beautiful workplace

Cons

Worst Place I have ever worked for in my life, and I have had my fair share of jobs throughout my career from hourly positions and moving into leadership. I chose to ignore all the reviews I read on Glassdoor when I joined the brand because I was being offered a pretty decent package as well as a great career opportunity. Read on: Discrimination: newer locations will hire based on looks and age and very open about this process. I can vouch for this because I had to do this. Hire associates based on looks as well as fire associates based on looks. Toxic Work Environment: no work life balance, outrageous hours. If Gary is hungry at 4am, you will work until 4am to prepare his waffle, chicken, or favorite burger. Everyone is on Gary time. Cult Like Environment: Gary has a “God Complex” and all Executive team nurtures the behavior in order to collect the high wages. However most agree he’s out of his mind. Preach Values Vision and Beliefs in a doctrinal manner however internally do not live the values whatsoever Favoritism: other leaders will lose themselves into the Vision and discrimination is in abundance Internal manipulation and exploitation: lies are fed to buy your time. Staff is treated less than human and expected to work in less than favorable conditions especially housekeeping teams

Pros

The benefits are dismal & basically take your extremely hard earned cash and attempt to pump it back into the RH ecosystem in the form of 40% RH products and 20% off food (drinks not included) at the galleries. However, health care coverage is very good if you pick the right plan. That's it. If you want to stay and drink the koolaid as we literally all say, you can grow within RH quickly, it just depends on how much of your soul you're willing to part with.

Cons

They expect everyone to stay for hours 'after work' in order to finish a task or even just catch up. Some coworkers have been working 7 days a week and will often be working until midnight during the week. They'll throw money at you in order to have you stay. People keep leaving and their entire workload just gets passed onto everyone else. Most people don't even have time to take a vacation as there are so many "mandatory" tasks that prevent anyone from taking time off. It's commonplace to hear stories of people working until 3-4 am.

Pros

Decent pay for a retail position.

Cons

This position is not what they will market it to be. You will feel like you are joining a design role where your design and creative opinions will matter but the truth is you are just a glorified retail employee. You’re not an interior designer. The managers are not flexible with scheduling and the hours you work will begin to weigh on your mental health. You will never get overtime, you will never be promoted unless you spend multiple years sucking up to the main manager. This position is great for someone in between professional careers looking to put money in the bank while you search for your next REAL opportunity. Management uses their “value” to manipulate and control their employees. If you don’t fit what they want you to be, they will start verbally harassing you. Telling you, you aren’t a fit and that you need to be more on brand.
