Corruption is rampant

Pros

Good insurance. That's really about it. A couple really good people.

Cons

Not a welcoming environment to newcomers. You get "frozen" out for no apparent reason. Management sleeping with those they "supervise". People being brought in from the outside, with no experience in the industry, given a few weeks to acclimate, then booted unceremoniously and with no notice. No guidance to new employees, not even clear expectations. Management owning a side business, in the same industry, in direct competition with Rehau. Management is not in touch with the people they "manage". HR is hated by everyone, and has no clue what the people even do there. People either make it here less than 6 months or they languish away until they are ancient (if they fly under the radar). They preach about culture and make you take online courses about corruption, but there is no culture and corruption is everywhere.

Thanks for the review. HR and management together strive to create a working environment where employees feel appreciated and motivated, and value feedback from employees which helps to identify areas for improvement. In that regard, we do appreciate your candor, but want to offer the following input in response to some of your comments. Of course, it can be very disappointing when a new hire is simply not a good fit. Please consider that bringing new people on board is not as simple a process as it may seem, whether they have industry experience or not. A six-month probationary period is a standard practice for new hires across multiple industries for this very reason. As well, a formal announcement is not standard practice when a candidate leaves the company within this trial period. Corruption and conflict of interest are both fairly serious accusations. There is no known business owned by anyone in management that would be considered in direct competition with REHAU. Please use the proper channels to provide more information, anonymously if desired, so that this can be further investigated. Finally, we sincerely regret your negative outlook on the company. In order to successfully address problems and treat them as opportunities for improvement, we must have specific, feasible solutions. Please use Consultation Days and the Employee Survey as well as the option to escalate any issue through the proper channels, beginning with your supervisor, so that a constructive dialogue toward resolving issues can take place.

Lose of money due to immigrating to many Germans.

Pros

Great Location. Nice Offices and some great individuals who have been able to stay there a long time and with stand the lay offs in the Company.

Cons

Very much into bringing employees from Germany. They are treated extremely well unlike employees hired in the US. If a German wants your position you will lose it. They could hire three employees in the US compared to one employee from Germany. The money they spend in immigration is absurd!!

We are sorry you have a negative opinion and would like to offer some additional insight into our occasional transfer of employees from Germany to the US. REHAU was founded and has been based in Germany for nearly 70 years. Therefore, the strongest concentration of our product development know-how and expertise exists in Germany. Due in large part to the efforts of some of these transferred employees who bring their knowledge of specific internal processes, we were able to create 600 new jobs at REHAU in recent times. Thank you for your contribution to the company; we wish you much continued success.

Pros

Great, hard working people at most levels. Most just go along with the flow to keep their jobs that are under constant scrutiny. High tech company. Good pay and benefits.

Cons

Upper level management is terrible. Temper tantrums by management are the norm, not the exception. We keep hiring more management into the buddy system and nothing ever gets any better. Too many Germans are here taking US jobs due to the buddy system.
